Event Details

An all-ages FREE 5K fun run or walk that is non-timed and just for fun. The route starts at the Original Mine Yard and follows the BA&P paved path toward the World Museum of Mining. Participants will turn around at the halfway point and head back to the Original.

There will be great views to enjoy of Uptown Butte, and the surrounding mountains.

Please wear your favorite snow dance costume. There will be best costume awards for various categories. Warm beverages and treats will be available at the finish.

Summit Recovery Lounge will be at Stodden Park from 10:00am–4:00pm with a mobile wood-fired sauna. Butte’s Piss and Moan Runners

Butte’s Piss and Moan Runners is a lighthearted, loosely organized, not for profit coalition of runners who welcome any and all to join in run club activities. Their mission is to share and support the health benefits, sense of community, appreciation of the outdoors, and inherent discipline that comes from the sport of running. They organize group runs on Tuesday evenings, bi-annual runs to Our Lady of the Rockies, and various long run trail adventures. The Piss and Moan Runners also direct the Wulfman CDT 14k Trail Race each June. This is a popular trail race which takes runners on a beautiful section of our local trail system using a unique, time trial format. The club, specifically Brooke Hueftle and Michele Bazzanella, are handling the race director duties for the SnoFlinga 5k race.
