Event Details

The Southwestern Polar Plunge is a premier Butte event held in conjunction with the SnoFlinga Winter Festival, giving plungers and spectators the chance to enjoy a full day of winter festivities. Proceeds from the plunge support Special Olympics Montana athletes and teams across the Butte, Anaconda, Dillon, and Deer Lodge regions.

The Polar Plunge is primarily organized, promoted, and conducted by the Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Montana. Same-day registration and check-in begin at 1:30 PM at Ridgewaters.

Snoflinga and Ability MT have teamed up to ensure people with disabilities can participate in the activities. This includes providing equipment for mobility needs and/or adaptive coaching methods. If you’re unsure whether these activities are possible for you, please complete the assistance request form before registering to explore ways we can remove barriers to participation.
