Event Details

It takes roughly 15-20 minutes to make a flashlight torch, drop in any time between 4-6pm!

Make your own flashlight lantern torch for the SNöFLINGA Enchanting M illuminated walk. You can use it to IlluminDance or carry it to help create a more picturesque and artful walk and enhance the ambiance of this site-specific art installation.

Art supplies will be provided. If you want a special shape for your lantern, bring your own bottle for a mold. We will provide a variety. If you want to bring it home immediately, bring a small empty box from home. It takes overnight for the paper mache to dry.

These lanterns work best duct taped to a flashlight with a larger head and an on/off switch on the handle. A limited number of flashlights will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

About IlluminDance:
Explore story, artful props, and modern theatrical movement influenced by world dance traditions while we develop a common language, movement patterns, combinations and tableaux for optional and possible use in future site-specific art installations. Stretch your mind, body and spirit in these dark times and celebrate the return of the light together exploring the myths and folklore of history's light bringers. These classes are low-impact and beginner friendly. Add some sparkle to your winter as you sweat, laugh, play and move in mysterious ways.
